I think the hookups are all there to make it happen so if someone wanted it bad enough I guess they could just mod the boat. I dropped from 18k to 10k just to get it to move and got 2 hits right away. I was gifted the boat so the sooner I get rid of it the better.

Any opinions on selling price of an 88 weekender 300? It is quite clean and the engines were replaced in 2001 and now only have less than 175 hrs on them. I'm on a lake in Georgia. New exterior rug, new fridge, seat upholstery looks new, sun beam boat cover like new.

If you want the speakers to scream you need to get separate amps hooked up to "component" speakers. Head units only put out like 50 watts. Also speaker placement is important as sound travels down as soon as it comes out, so mounting up high will be better. I used to sell high end car systems...

Ok so a couple of screws and wires I should be able to handle that. Mine is located after the battery galley under the battery charger in the engine room. I just have to scoop the water sitting out of there so I can see whats going on. New water won't come in, this is left over from the sea...

Replacement is finished. I ran the engine for a bit, no funny noises, water is pumping out like normal, temp is a steady 145F. The pully seemed to line up fine. I guess its a wrap? Who wants to buy a Sea Ray? :)

The mounting studs are the same I just didn't have them laid the same I guess, and my old one was missing a screw. The part # is 46-807151 but unfortunately that just references the plastic part with the impeller inside and the valve stems. I believe this part is a succession of 46-72774A32...

As you can see from this pic the brass ring thing doesn't appear to be pressed on at the same distance the original is. Is that going to be a show stopper?

I used to do hifi a long time ago. I forget the term, but I think it was "component speakers", they perform better and can only be powered by a separate amp (not your head unit's amp), so you might consider that situation. However if they are just normal speakers and your head unit has enough...

    1989 220 DA side vents

If they are anything like the vents on my 300 weekender I just used a combo of a scraper, pick, hook, anything I could work up under the plastic to separate it from the fiberglass without cracking the vents or scratching anything visible. I didn't try a heat gun, maybe that is worth a shot if...

The impeller did have a couple veins missing. Yea stick with the bronze, I can't believe they made this part with plastic and snapped off like that. yikes

Yes, the hoses are double clamped. Its not that they came off, but the part broke off completely, here is a picture of it. I just took the pulley off first and let it hang, then unscrewed the pump and that came right off. Then I used gloves and pliers to yank the broken inlet/exhaust out of the...
