I got it right ! what u said was correct the step down what I was using had a defective outlet and that was the reason the reverse polarity light was on and it shut the power supply to the Air conditioner.When I changed the power outlet the RP light went off and the air conditioner started...

I don't think so if that is the case the home electrical breaker would go off, Does the air conditioner has a circuit breaker can it go off due to voltage fluctuation. How do u find the reverse polarity location? thx for ur input ,
