2001 19ft galaxy motor locked

Starter came loose and mived that it toched battery cable and burnt cables so i replace cables....nothing just a click. Had my neighbor whos is a auto mechanic just look at it and he tried to turn motor from front pully amd he says ots locked....tging is is that it was running than died....i was getting ready to go on lake. ....so when it died i tried ro crank it and i guess that is when starter came loose and it shorted out....i kept trying to start not knowing this has happened and ot would turn a few times but then would just click...did this several time till i noticed the snoke from melted wires coming out boat.

Remove the spark plugs and see if the crankshaft rotates.

You may have hydrolocked the motor.

Ok....its my first time owning a boat...had it on 3rd summer now amd thought it strange this happened.....ill do that today...thank u

what has been serviced since you have owned it for these 3 years?
