so sick of this place constant disagreements, certain higher up staff has no care or courtesy for customers. Constantly being unreasonable. Horrible customer relations. Absolute shame that a marina that makes so much money and can be such a nice fun place is so poorly managed and ran. Anyone else have similar issues with their marinas?

I am in a Safe Harbor Marina and it would be the exact opposite to what you're describing. I went so far at the end of last summer to send a note to the Founders and the President acknowledging the great job the management is doing.. Something I rarely do.
I don't know your details but my impression so far is Safe Harbor wants to do the right thing... If you can't sort it out with the immediate staff go to corporate... They read their direct email and respond quickly.

I was at Brewers/SH for a short while. I am now at Tappen Beach. I don’t have any regrets, I also don’t have any of the amenities that SH offers, but it’s also about 1/2 the cost and we use the money saved (and then some) to travel places over the summer.

If you can do w/o the pool and discounts offered at other SH. marinas, Tappen is great imho.

I’ll have to come check out Tappen, how is it without having fingers? And how long did it take to get in there? I do have my name on the list...

When we overnight at places that have fingers, I don’t notice much of a difference, as we usually go on and off via the swim platform anyway.

Overall, Tappin is always keep clean, water and electric are usually in working order, if there’s ever an issue, it’s usually addressed quickly. All of the docks were replaced with in the last 4 or 5 years and are in impeccable shape. Personally, other than having use of the pool, I couldn’t justify paying almost double to be at Brewers/SH with a finger slip.

Getting into Tappen can be tough. I called every early to keep up with where I was on the list, but once your in, it’s easy to mover around with in the marina, should you ever go up or down in size. Also, I know of a slip that would be good for a <30 footer that might be opening up…

If you ever want to come over to the boat, I’d be happy to show you around.

Would love to come check it out I’m done with brewers!

I was there about 5 weeks ago to look at a brokered boat. I decided to have the hull surveyed and my surveyor asked for the bilge area to be cleaned. We were told that it would be about a week before the service dept. would be able to get to it. A week later surveyor went back and still wasn't clean.
Then we had a seatrial set up for May 13th and the week prior to this the broker called & said that brewers would not have time to launch boat by the 13th. So we had to reschedule and the next available date for surveyor, diesel tech & myself is May 31st. It worked out for me ok as I am not in a hurry but if I was the owner I would be hot!
It would appear to me that they have a problem with scheduling. The only other thing I have heard is they are very expensive but as I am finding out everything in that area is expensive compared to the Midwest.
