I am considering replacing my arch lights with the Lumitec full color spectrum lights. Adjusting the color and intensity of these light requires frequent pressing of the arch light on the EIM switch panel. Has anybody had experience with these lights using the Sea Ray EIM system? How robust is the EIM switch panel and module? I am worried about the heavy usage from frequent switching to these very expensive and hard to replace parts.

Thanks

If you are worried about the EIM you could add a secondary on/off switch somewhere else at the helm to enable the frequent on/off required to change colors. Just a thought.

That said...if I owned a newish Sea Ray I'd probably already have an EIM in my spares kit. I seem to read quite a few threads about those buggers. First world, 2000's Sea Ray problems :)

I love my Lumitec lights! The EMI concern is valid, but no one has ever said they fail from over use that I have read. It is just electronic failure.
