I have a 2004 Sundeck 240 with Mercruiser 260 HP 5.0 Bravo III. First time on water after winter, and noticed the bilge filling up immediately after engine cranks. Only takes on water while running. When I turn engine off, I still hear a slow, steady stream of water for another couple of minutes, then it stops. Pump water out of bilge, bone dry, and stays that way, but then fills up again as soon as I run engine. 4 to 6 inches within a minute. Hopefully it’s a straightforward fix and nothing too major/costly. Any suggestions?

Get flashlight and a mirror and start looking
Yup, should be very easy to find.

If I had to guess... someone didn't replace all of the blue drain plugs. Or a botched winterization job and the block or manifold is cracked.

Definitely a hose, freeze plug or cracked block from a poor winterization job. Get down around the engine and start looking. should be easy to find.

There are 2 blue drain plugs on the raw water pump. Very difficult to access them with the bulkhead in place.

Possibly the plug on the pump output isn’t installed.

Thanks everyone. I'm having my marina service look at it today. Your comments helped me set the tone for the initial conversation with them ... they winterized it and it was working fine beforehand, so no matter the issue, it has to be related to something they did or didn't do. Fingers crossed that it's only a missing plug or loose hose and that nothing cracked. I'm in South Carolina and we had a pretty mild winter, so even if water wasn't fully drained, I'm hopeful a crack wouldn't have been likely. Will keep y'all posted!
