How much NoFlex Digestor per week for maintenance?

I added using Tank-Teria, one tablet per week, really made a difference

This was interesting, if the tank is not properly vented It can kill the bacteria.

“The key is to keep them alive and happy. Make sure your tank is well ventilated and the bacteria have an ample supply of oxygen. Check your vent line periodically to ensure no clogs or obstructions“

With two people on board for weekends we pump out every other week. We never do a rinse out as that just removes the good bacteria that is working. I actually have wondered if the folks that only do number one are creating an imbalance in the waste.

they don't rinse out when they do the pumpout, unless requested.... so haven't done that either....

I have never used NoFlex, never had a vacuflush either. Is this the best stuff to use? Will it work if we do not pump out every time we use the boat?

LOL.. I am so glad I don't know the answer to this....and you need to stop wondering :)
Everyone is going to have a different opinion whether no-flex works or not...its expensive, white (no one trusts white these days) and particles ....hell I don't believe it works....but so far after 3 years I don't have a problem using it.... no smell, no issues ...so its staying.
The other thing to keep in mind is the cleaner you use in your toilet....you don't want to kill what you are trying to grow :)

When I first bought this boat 3 years ago, I started out with Noflex and the tank teria. After about 6 months I stopped the tank teria. We use the boat every weekend and sometimes for 3-day weekends and pump out when we get about 3/4 full-maybe once every 5-6 weeks. I do use more water than is necessary, but our pump outs are free.

Thanks for the advise, I have had to work on the vacuum pump and it does not smell very good. I can only imagine what the tank would be like. Never thought of using something like this in the shower pump system.

CSR has some great advise/ideas. Thanks again

I have not had to personally open a pump but some here swear NoFlex take the worst of the smell from the system.

So started using Noflex for the first time this year. Still getting some post flush stink. Decided it might be time to replace the charcoal in the "fart filter". Took it off and went to dump out the charcoal, and it was empty. Turns out one of the small hose fitting screens I put on the fittings had fallen off the last time and it was the one closest to the tank. So I expect the first pumpout last year sucked all the charcoal back into the tank and it has been empty for the last year and this one. Oops. All fixed now.

For us we have been on No-Flex for 2 years and in have seen no vacu-flush issues. The biggest and most noticeable I have seen is using this in the sump system. In our old boat I would have to 'clean' the sump out 2-3x per summer and the stick was terrible. I finally cleaned out the sump this past weekend for the first time in 18 months and zero smell. I was really surprised as well as the build up was visibly reduced.

I hate when we have to tell everyone what we learned.... I am having school flash backs with Mr Dillon in History class :)

It is not a flashback, repeat, it is not a flashback. The mask that Indiana is requiring you to wear is cutting off the oxygen supply. Please remove your mask and breathe easy...

On that note, read the Indiana Attorney General's advisory opinion on the Governor's mask mandate.

What kind of toilet cleaner do you recommend or are you using while using the No-Flex?

I use Biotal... this is also where I buy both. There are others out there that are compatible with the bacteria method. You can find those in rv stores
