Hello Everyone!
I’m a first season SeaRay owner (2012 Sundeck 240).
The last couple of times I’ve taken her out, there is a loud beeping sound- it beeps once a second and continues without stopping. The only thing that seems to stop is if I go faster. Cruising is fine but then, after a minute or two of going slower it begins again. The boat “seems” ok to drive, but I am a newbie boater, this is my first.
I’ve tried searching these forums and googling but can’t seem to find an answer. The green light is still on for the fire system (which is also still in the green zone), and the dash said all “3 x OKs”. Include the readouts from the dash.

Thanks so much!

Your water pressure seems low.
It could be a bad water pressure sensor or a raw water pump issue.

When was the water pump and/or impeller last replaced?

With over 400 hours, an original pump is way past it’s normal life expectancy.

The way I interpret this, is that the 2 above suggestions would be a steady horn. Constant beep would be low drive fluid.

Could you have a low oil level that has too low pressure at low speeds but has enough pressure at higher speeds to silence your alarm?

thanks so much for taking the time to answer. Is there a dial / way of knowing this, or should I ask the marina? Thanks

thanks @scoflaw is there a dial or reading I should look for? Or something in the engine I can see myself? Thanks again

Thanks @Espos4 - yes I don’t know when replaced. But the water not pumping. I’ll ask mechanics to take a look!

The surest way to check this is via your engine dipstick. Make sure the engine is warmed up then shut it down. Let it sit for a few minutes so the oil can drain down from the upper areas of the engine down to the oil pan.
