Looking to purchase this boat and curious what other owners experience has been. Heard the 2018 Merc's were 2004 technology but updated for 2019. Comparing it to the new Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider.

Hi Golffeak,

Did you end up buying or demoing the 320? I have been considering the boat as well, but haven’t seen one yet.

I'm surprised you two didn't get any feedback way back when you posted. I'm also interested in this boat and was hoping to read some feedback from real owners.

Haven’t done a sea trial but did walk through it. Layout is terrific for its intended purpose. I thought it was nice, but not $500k nice IMO. I did read some reviews that the build quality is suspect, the materials are cheaper and ill-fitted.

Yeah, there's absolutely no way I'd pay $500K for it. I see lightly used ones listed for low to upper 3's. I'm also a little suspect on Sea Ray's quality lately. I'd really have to go through it to see if there are any improvements.

Other boats being considered are a Formula 310ss which is sexier, better build quality but not as good utility. And the Cruisers 338 OB. Kind of a tweener between the 310 and 320 with a small cabin but some really nice features. I believe Cruiser's quality has come a long way since the old days.

Friend just traded his Formula 310, believe it was a 2010 or so. It was well built, but not overly spacious for a 31, penalty for nice lines I guess.
I am a sea ray fan, and loyalist, but I find my eyes wandering lately based on the quality aspect of their builds. I am not sure the brand commands premiums over others on newer builds. That said, the 320 is a spectacular design for an inland boater like me that doesn’t need to overnight, but likes some below deck space and a stand up head.

I spent about an hour on a Cruiser's 338 at the last boat show here. It is an impressive boat. Very substantial and the fit and finish were fantastic. If I had my way, that would be my new boat in 2021 (pending a sea trial, of course). But it intimidates the admiral and it's not a hill I am willing to die on!

I also look at that boat recently. But I'm curious whether or not the birth is long enough to actually lay on? I'm 6'2

500k for a day boat? Two new ones showed up at the marina recently and I'm not sold on the looks and style.
You can buy a used boat for much less. Just saying..........that is way more capable. To each his own but its definitely not for me.

When I'm back in Tampa in a couple of weeks in going to go look at one in the flesh.

I would never buy new but I like the size and flexibility of it. Theoretically.
