What’s an assault weapon?

Yes these stats are widely available on the google machine. But they are still deaths caused by guns. Guns when used for purpose are designed to kill. They do a remarkably good job of it and they last for generations when cared for. The point is, can we stop killing each other and keep our guns? I really thought my reply about socialism would steer our Sea Rays to another provocative thread. I won't call you a racist for posting these stats - they are likely accurate although I didn't confirm them. America was built around a circumstance that eventually brought forth the 13th amendment ... and the privatization of the jail system and a source of free labour. This shit is F**k'd. That might stir the pot for some.

It ain't free. We, the people, have to pay for the prisons, the upkeep, the room and board for the "guests". It's expensive. Plus, when you make the choice to commit a felony, you lose your constitutional rights. And most members of CSR do not condone socialism, it clashes with our entrepreneurial spirit. I will just point to Venezuela and be done.

There are over 22,000 gun laws in effect right now. Criminals don’t follow the law. More laws won’t stop the criminals from obtaining firearms.

All more laws will do is restrict peaceful law abiding Americans from exercising their rights under the constitution.

Many Americans myself included are tired of that age old nonsense of the second amendment. The second amendment was written when there was no police force sheriff department or any other police presence. You don't need an f in AK-47 to go hunting the only thing assault weapons are good for is killing humans. Is that what you intend to do?

I hear you but let me say, I'm an entrepreneur - a very successful one and I started that spirit when I was 13. Like it or not socialism is part of all North American society. My kids went to school without a fee —regardless of my wealth or the lack of wealth of others, so they may send their children to school to become the next great entrepreneurs. ... we paid for that for everyone through our taxes - that is socialism. I think that is a good thing. Don't get me started on health care. As for prison, I'm referring to prison for profit. Yes we pay for prisons too - again that is socialism. But the prison system, as I refer to it and the 13th amendment has roots that we should not be proud of. Crimes like "loitering" landed a black person in prison because they needed the "free labour" lost from the emancipation of slaves. That's where it all started. So it's not exactly a choice to commit a felony when the system is designed to make it impossible for some to not commit one.

We should discuss boats at some point. Mine goes in the water soon and I'm planning on burning through some fuel!

:rolleyes:I been thinking it was the person squeezing the trigger that caused the deaths.

i get assaulted every time i go to fill up at the gas docks! so that must mean the gas pumps are an assault weapon!

Just curious. This term has been thrown around for about a decade and now has become standard. It seems to be used to describe rifles. I’ve never heard of a rifle assaulting anyone. What say you?

Could you explain what makes an 'assault weapon' an 'assault weapon' and why they can't be used for anything other than killing humans.

Why did the Boulder shooting end when it did? Oh, the police (carrying guns) showed up.

Colorado has very restrictive gun laws compared to many other states, yet they continue to have many "mass shootings". See a correlation there?

Often times they happen in "gun free zones". Why might that be?

All outlawing guns or adding more laws will do is unarm and/or restrict law abiding citizens. By definition, criminals do NOT follow the law.

Had there been a few concealed carriers in that supermarket, there would likely have been a different outcome...

It is a mystery to me why such a simple truth is so far beyond their grasp. I don't know if it is willful ignorance, or just plain ignorance.

Last time I fired a round off, that 762 was very willing to leave the barrel in a damn big hurry. "Thanks tips"

When you finish all the crying about how bad the gun owners are and the shit hits the fan, who will you run to and ask for protection ? Or will you just try to convince the bad guys to do the right thing.
More gun owner bullshit. The bad guys are coming....Fear mongering is all you got. Times up...
