So I bought a new dinghy and launched it in my slip from my GHS hydraulic platform. Unfortunately when raising the platform up I jammed the power cord in the gap and now I can't get it out. The remote isn't responding to up or down. Is there some type of safety mode it went in being the cord is stuck? Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks.

Which gap? There is a manual way to raise the platform but not sure about lowering it. Also have you tried calling GHS they may be your best bet for a solution.

I got the cord out by manually dropping but still no power to the remote. Could the remote itself need to be replaced?

is it possible you blew a fuse? Do you hear the solenoid latch at all?

You can take off the remote and jump the pins. Apologies, I don't recall which ones off the top of my head.
A quick call to GHS should be helpful. They'll give you a diagnostic procedure and what to look for on the panel on the pump.

GHS is open Monday thru Thursday . They are real helpful. It’s important to know ahead of time the color of the pump manifold that the hydraulic lines attach to in the engine room.

I've never used a lift, so someone please correct me... and maybe I'm thinking too "simple" here, but it sounds like when the cord got pinched that the wires inside were severed or shorted.
