Hello everyone, I bought all new lighted toggle switches from FP Marine. I'm installing them now. I think I bought the wrong "Navigation Lights" switch. My boat is a 2009 Sundeck. The switch I bought is a on/off/on switch. I think I need the on/off switch. Can someone please confirm the correct switch boat this boat. The one I think I need from FP marine is LT-2511-1 which is the on/off switch. The one I got was LT-1561-3 with is the on/off/on. Here is a pic of my dash. From the switch logo I think it should just be a up and down on/off switch. Any thoughts?
Thank you
Corey

If this is for navigation lighting you need the on-off-on 4 pole switch. Up would be bow, stern, mast head
down would be just anchor light

Currently it's wired with indendent controls for the anchor light and then the combo anchor light/bow light. BUT, it makes absolutely no difference how it is currently wired because you make it any way you want. However, as BT mentioned, you can't just use a single on/off since you need the independent control. Easiest is on/off/on - unless you have holes for two on/off's and want to do that.

But again, you're re-wiring - do what you want - as long as you hook the wires up correctly (between Sea Ray's wire labeling, the owner's manual and the notes you take when disassembling it should be easy), the actual lights don't care one bit about what style switch you have or how many. They just need their 12V.

I have a 2007. It uses a Simple on/off switch for the navigation lights.
There is a separate on/off switch for the anchor light.

Now I'm really confused. I found the switch I was missing inside the boat. Not sure if it's the original but it's a on/off switch that has 5 blades. There was a wiring diagram with what color wires go on each terminal. So I know it's the switch the Previous owner was using because it matches the correct color wires. The switch works. I have the Sea Ray manuals but cannot find where it tells you what wires go where. The switch I have now has a jumper on the blades. Just like in the pic below. If I need the on/off/on I don't know how to wire that switch. This is the switch I just bought from FP marine. It's also a 5 blade but doesn't have the jumper. Here are the pics of the on/off switch I found wired up

This is how mine seems to be. I also have a separate switch for the anchor light. Also for some reason I have a switch for docking lights, and thru hull exhaust. Not sure why because I don't have either on the boat. I don't have the anchor pole light I'll buy one tomorrow.
Once I have that I can play around and see if my switches work. Do you know if your simple on/off navigation light is original to your boat?

I also have switch labels for the docking lights and through hull exhaust And I don’t have either of those options.

I am pretty sure mine are original.

Your anchor light pole may be in the boat already. 2 places to check…..
1. Storage area in front of the helm, on the floor under the cooler.

2. In the ski locker. Open the door in the floor between the helm seats. Look along the starboard wall, up high. There are 2 rubber mounts for storing a tall anchor light.

What you posted a picture of, Corey, is stock. But again, do it the way YOU want. 2 switches or 1, both are acceptable and used throughout the industry. There's no "best" way.

And, yes, the same plate is used for boats whether they have a certain option, or not.

Perfect! Thank you

Where was it?
Ski Locker in the floor. On the side wall close to the top there are rubber mounts like you said. I looked in there and never noticed it was mounted high up.
You saved me money!!!!!! Thank you
