Just another day at haulover inlet

To be fair, the Sea Hunt is hull only weight, without propulsion, fuel, and water.

True. I think the weight on the Sea Ray brochure includes the standard IO which was the 4 cylinder 2.5L 120hp and the outdrive. I’d guess boat alone is 1800-2000 lbs dry no power.

The 200hp Yammy is a 4-cylinder and weighs slight less than 500lbs.

I see a lot of cleaning going on when they get back..lol

The clip of the two men and one woman on the fishing boat that got ran over was out here on the Columbia River a few years ago. Guy dropped his phone and was looking for it and bent down to pick it up. He got to buy a new guide boat for the guy he ran over. The guide said it was his worst day on the water and his best day. When he isn't on the water, he speaks at the classes for Boater Safety, about the need for PFDs.

That clip was terrifying. I have been there but they swerved at the last minute. Happened on lake Chautauqua in NY. I also have had some close calls on the Potomac when skiing where idiots follow right behind my boat. I like to avoid people on the water as much as possible.

The photos of his boat after it happened was spooky. They were anchored and with the current, he hit and went clean over the guide boat. The guide and his two customers all made it off and out of the way. The guide wouldn't comment on what happened to the distracted boater but gave a stern warning about letting it happen. He said it happens out there more than it should.

I have seen a lot of folks traveling on plane outside of the shipping lane. Makes you think. And why would you want to travel, on plane, close to shore? More so on a river that is always changing in depths? Crazy
