Oh yes it was. The divide happend with Obama. He hid behind his BS "one America" retoric. He was the one who came to "fundamentally change" the greatest country in the world. Don't ever forget his "cling to their guns and religion" comments. The only way to get to their socialist utopia is to divide us up. They are well on their way.

Yep, Instead of “Commander and Chief”, I used to refer to him as “Divider and Chief”.

Politicians have always called each other names, but what seemed to change during that time, is they started calling the citizens who voted for the other candidate names. Deplorables, bitter clingers. It just struck me as a strange way to govern a country, by calling half of your citizens names.
 
I noticed hyper- partisanship starting w the Clinton Lewinsky scandal. The Republicans went after Billary w a vengeance and it’s been war ever since.

Remember ‘the cop acted stupidly’ or ‘ if I had a son’….let’s not even get started on the Ferguson rhetoric….he was awful.
