Came across a nice clean 1990 220CC with 5.7. Thinking about buying it. I'd like to hear some opinions on this boat. Were there any problems with boats in this year or this model? Did Sea Ray lighten the boats up in this year? An 86 23 cuddy weighs 3910lbs and the 90 weighs 3500lbs. Is this constructed lighter than earlier years? I've heard something about boats made before a certain year were better than those made after. It is when Brunswick bought Sea Ray. What is it about SR being bought by Brunswick? Other than that is this a good boat or is it a year and model to stay away from?

just ran across this site and joined. i own a 1990 220CC and i love it. i don't have any information about brunswick but i would like any information available. it seems odd that in the kelley blue book they only list 1990 230cc or 1990 220 overnighter....the only info i have ever came across was at the sea ray site under archives.

thanks ... mike ... schowbike@yahoo.com

Hey Shilo, I have a 1990 230 CC and absoloutely love it. Very solid boat. plenty of room for an overnight trip, and lots of storage. Searay makes a good boat. First one Ive owned and I dont think youll see me in any other brand again.

I just sold my 1990 220da ( got a bigger boat ). It was a great boat...we had it two seasons and put 300 hrs on it.

I have a 89 220 CC. just bought it last year and love it. We boat on Lake Erie, so we need something that will take some rough water. It hs a great layout for fishing as well as family. A lot of room.
