I experienced the same problem on my new 2007 260 Sundeck. My dealer fixed it the first time as the main smartcraft connection was loose. However, the problem happened again so the technician replaced the tach which has now fixed the problem.

Not sure of the water temp but the kids had no problem. They're 5 & 3 so not much bothers them. I may get in the water this weekend.

Picked up my new and first 2007 260 Sundeck. First day out kids were swimming and can't wait to go back out!!!

I just closed on my first boat....2007 Sea Ray 260 Sundeck. I take delivery on April 29th from Clark's Landing in Maryland. Looks like it's going to be a GREAT summer with the family!

Mr Salt, Thanks for your insight. Do you think $45k for a new 2007 260 SD is a bad deal? My research tells me this is a decent deal. I know the dealer is getting a rebate from Sea Ray, hence why I can get it for $45. List on this boat was $61k, realizing this boat is now 3 years old.

Looking at a 2007 260 Sundeck, new. Probably borrowing $40k. Seems like most institutions want 20-30% down to get to 7% interest rate or they max out term at 10 years.

Does anyone have a recommendation on the best company to use for boat financing. My dealer is saying the best he can get is 8.5% for 15 years with 10% down.

I am buying the boat from Clark's Landing too. I plan on keeping the boat at Indian Landing marina on the Severn river. Where do you keep your boat? Have you been happy with your 240SD?

Thanks HokiesFan, I will be storing the boat in a dry dock and will be using mostly in a river for day trips with the family. I'm glad to hear you like the boat as I've stated, this is my first boat and hope I'm making the right decision!!!!
