    Finally got the SRV190 home

Welcome Ike, I left a more detailed response in your other thread but remembered where I had seen some good original interior photos. Check the album in the profile for Chasespeed21 of his 72 SRV 180. The dash is different than the 190 but the rest of the interior to the back is the same. Brian

    Hello from the Pacific Northwest

Welcome Ike. I am sure you will find a lot of useful information here as I did. I just saw your post on the old thread I started when I first got my SRV190. As far as your interior everything looks like mine did when I first got it The anchor box, rear seats and engine cover appear to be...

    Vinyl Spray Paints

Checked Summit Racing. They carry VHT and Colorbond. Colorbond is available in 3 Sea Ray colors. Just search Keyword for Vinyl Dye on their site and the colorbond says it is also available to be tinted although you would have to find a supplier that can mix it.

    Vinyl Spray Paints

just got done using SEM vinyl dye on my back to back seats. Good results and I have used Mar-Hyde in the past successfully. Make sure whatever you use this on is REALLY clean. A wax/grease remover is usually recommended and I have used enamel reducer as well. An automotive paint supply should be...

    Finished interior updates (for now)

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Like all projects it got a to be a little more involved than planned. All the wood structure was either built from scratch or modified original and then painted with resin before recovering. Seats were just dyed for now with SEM vinyl dye but the color is...

    Finished interior updates (for now)

Just finished updating the interior and making the old boat a little more comfortable. I spend a lot of time on this site getting ideas and answers to technical questions but really haven't shared much as last year was my first as a "newbie boater". Thanks to everyone who is so helpful. I...

My 1972 SRV 180; looking for parts

Welcome Chasespeed21, Your boat looks fantastic! I really like the curved windshield and the color. I bought a '72 SRV190 in all of the avacado green color about a year ago. I wasn't sure about the color at first but I really grew to love the retro look. Mine is fairly original as well and...

    I need exhaust manifolds

Hey Oldskool, great looking boat. You have been doing some nice work. I have a '72 SRV190 w/188 and have the same crack in the starboard manifold although mine appears to go almost fully around the outside. I bought the boat this past winter and was aware of it and planned on changing the both...

    Finally got the SRV190 home

Jonnyspeed, Great looking boat. Did you find it locally? I thought I just saw it somewhere on the net recently. The lines of the boat are what drew me to this model as well. We are first time boaters so this year will be a learning experience for us. I already appreciate the help I've found on...

    Where to find HIN

Thanks for the information everyone. Since I now can safely assume there is no hull ID I will just go through the process of having the watercraft office issue the new tags. They were helpful already in the process so it should not be much of a headache.

    Where to find HIN

Don't have the info on the month, is there somewhere to find that? I will double check the data plate when I get home, if it's there I may have missed it as it is somewhat scratched up. As far as the title, yes, the number matches the serial number on the data plate and that is what is on the...

    Finally got the SRV190 home

I've seen all the videos, looked good to start and I'm sure it will be fantastic when finished. I really love that interior color contrast with the white.

    Finally got the SRV190 home

It was local in Lyndhurst which is an east side Cleveland suburb. He had owned it since '86, supposedly purchasing it from the original owner. Zucker Marine is now gone but was in Chagrin Falls, OH again east of Cleveland

    Finally got the SRV190 home

Thanks for the replies everyone, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. The lines of the boat are really what drew me to it beside the condition. It does need it's minor things but what doesn't. As you noticed in the background my history has been with auto restoration so the boat is a new...

    Where to find HIN

Please excuse me if this is repetitive but I could not find an answer searching the forums. I need to find the HIN on my 1972 SRV190, Mercruiser 888. The State of Ohio requires a 12 digit number for the title transfer and the number on mine is only 10 digits. It's listed as Mfr's Serial No. and...

    Finally got the SRV190 home

Not the best weather to pull a boat but I couldn't wait to get it home. The recent 2ft. of snow we've had started to finally melt down a bit. Just wanted to post a couple of pictures, 1972 SRV190 w/888 Merc. First boat for us and looking forward to spring when I can start prepping and cleaning.

Hello John, My name is Brian. I noticed you are from Kent. I am in Streetsboro and just purchased a 1972 SRV190 with the 302 Ford from the second owner in Lyndhurst. I haven't even been able to get the boat home yet because of the snow. The original owner also lived in Kent and I was told used...

    New Sea Ray owner

Just purchased our first boat, something we've talked about for years. 1972 SRV190 w/888 mercruiser. We are the 3rd owners, second owner has had it since '86. First owner put a 4bbl on and thru-hull exhaust. Motor has been rebuilt, outdrive was replaced with a unit from Sterndrive Engineering 2...
