Ok. Thanks. I'll discuss that. Spoke with my mechanic and he's looking at it tomorrow. This weekend I'll tackle plugs and such and let you know.

Thank you for the comments so far. Replacing plugs is an easy (and sadly fun for me) chore - so that's a good item. I failed to mention the boat is kept in heated indoor storage over the winter so fogging has not been performed since I started doing that.

Good evening, First – I have tried to look at the other postings on Bravo 3 Outdrives for similar items and reviewed what I found. Not finding one that matched – if I missed one, I’ll apologize in advance if this is duplicated. Summary of my normal maintenance – boat is stored inside storage...

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

Y'know, it's a shame you can't "like" a post. I've seen some awesome ideas and comments and wanted to thank each and everyone of you for them - this is the best idea I had to communicate that. Thanks.

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

OK, if that is how they reimburse the dealers, I won't argue. Learn something new. Not sure about the alignment part though - that might explain some items. When the dealer has to remove the cabin door, repair the fiberglass and shift it 1/2" so that it aligns - I have to think that is not...

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

Thanks for the great advice. However, it did not have the "wrong" or "incorrect" filler cushions. The filler cushions were too short for the V-berth. They fit at the "front", but were too narrow and short by 1" at the "bottom". Perhaps you are correct - someone switched them. But since they...

Ooooh. Really? The arch comes off like that? That would make sense. Thanks.

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

Thank you for the great advice. I will try to find a local fiberglass who can give me a better idea. I haven't dumped in anyone's flakes (yet), but having these ideas has helped unbunch my panties. Oh, but don't condescend please either. I knew Rob Parmentier, his brother took our boat out for...

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

Nope, that's it. My understanding is remove the arch, repair the fiberglass, re-install the arch and canvas. I do find the dealership is typically higher priced admittedly (GPS installation, etc) and they are a high ranked Searay dealer. They think the crack goes all the way through and the...

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

With the downturn in the economy (recession, depression, whatever) - there were many boats sitting around. I think it had like 2 hours on it when we got it. Had been to a couple of in-water boat shows and the like. The cracked dash, they attributed to a boat show. However missing table post...

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

Thanks Jason. I suspect the dealership doesn't want to fix it since they are uncertain how much it will cost too, plus they don't have a fiberglass person. I know service said they had to bring one in to look at it.

Trit21 & dwna1 – thanks for constructive comments and what a great answer. Sure, honey is better. I usually try that – and it has gotten me nowhere…..so now what? I never said it was cosmetic or $150. So far the quote is around $470 before they open it and find it may be worse….for $100-150...

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

Interesting. Yes, I contacted them - and they couldnt be less helpful. The rusty water could indicate bolts corrosion, water intrusion. Note this is a boat stored indoors. Your opinion is that the warranty does not cover the arch. It is not identified on the warranty, if it was, I wouldn't...

Radar Arch Cracking - Searay Poor Quality and Customer Service

So, we purchased a new 2009 270 Dancer with an in-service date of 5/11/11 and this spring noticed cracking occurring in the radar arch base - dealer says it should be under warranty. SR says it's not warranty since it is not "structural". I asked what does "structural" constitute - they said...

    Radar Arch Cracking

How was this resolved? This season we found a crack in the base of our arch - dealer says it should be under warranty. SR says it's not warranty since it is not "structural". I asked what does "structural" constitute - they said that it won't come off. I said can they guarantee that without...

    Trim Fault

Curious to see any responses to this. We received no fault notice, and it bounced around widely, then ceased functioning. Readings were 0 and full down and full up. Dealer inspected, verified all connections, and has ordered a replacement sending unit as the likely culprit (warranty item)...

    The official 2009 270DA ~ 2010 280DA thread

Our A/C was "whistling" and not cooling the v-berth, so the dealer checked it out and there is a setting for the fan that powers the blower to the V-berth. While the mid-berth remains cooler (smaller area) - when he moved the fan speed to full, it improved flow to the forward area drastically.
