My battery charger/converter in my 2001 300 Sundancer went south with the ducks this past winter. So, it looks like a new one is in order.
Any recommendations on where to get an inexpensive one, and what to shop for when buying one?
Im in the northern virginia area and was wondering if anyone have an idea of what the going price is for a 2001 300 Sundancer in my area?? It has all the bells and whistles (chartplotter/radar, etc).
Last season my AC worked fine, not cooling quite as well as it use to.
This season, the Control unit appears to be working fine, the thermastat appears to work OK, good stream out of the port site, but no cool air (just air flow as the fan works continusously).
Someone told me it may need...
What causes outdrive corrosion??
I was told it mainly happens when the boat is moving, or when someone docked around you has a power cord in the water.
In bracish water, is there a risk of additional, significant, corrosion over the winter months??
My mariana mecanic said my mercathod is discolored and is bad again.
This will be 2 (rear transom) in the last 2 years. Is this typical??
Also, I was just thinking of replacing the external unit, will that do the trick, or is additional diagostics recommended??
I have a 2001 SunDancer 300. The last 2 trips out, I've noticed she seems sluggish to come up on plane, and this last trip I had to bury the port throttle to reach 3800 RPM (and desired speed of 32mph). For this boat, that seems slow.
As a side note, I had more left in the starboard...
My 300 Dancer (2001) was just put back in the water after replacing the starboard gimble bearing, and zincs on both sides.
Now the steering seems to have a "variable resistance" to it. Almost like a jerking. Its worse when turning port. Any suggestions on what to check??
