Last Trip of the Season for the 1979 SRV 207

Snowed here the other day, so the boat went in to get winterized and shrink wrapped. Managed to get one last ride with the family on the Red River here in Winnipeg. Nik

    My Classic Tow Vehicle

Not sure if there is a thread for "Tow Vehicles for Classics" here or not. I searched but couldn't find one. Guess this could be it and I could start. Our cottage is on a lake that has a sand bottom and has a very shallow and gradual place for launching. It's almost impossible to do with a...

    Post Your Classic's Top Speed

I'm interested in hearing what kind of top speeds people are getting at WOT with their classics. Obviously I know there will be a big range since an SRV 195 and 30 ft boat are going to have very different results, but I'm still curious. Post up your classic's top speed! Nik

    Prop Diameter vs Pitch

This is a general question about props. My 1979 Sea Ray SRV 207 BR 228 Mercruiser calls for a 15 3/4 x 17 C prop but I cannot find anyone who sells that size. The most common is a 15 x 17. Will 3/4 diameter make much of a difference? Should I go up to an 18 pitch if the diameter goes down 3/4...

    Mercruiser 228 in SRV 200 / 207 Prop Choices

My boat came with two props. One of them is in good shape and one is pretty beat looking. From the look of them, they are very different in pitch. What diameter / pitch props are people with boats similar to mine using and having good success with? Also, is it worth the money to look for...

The New Official Summer 2011 Photo Thread! Post em Up

I feel sorry for the OP who started the other 2011 Summer photo thread because it got sort of sabotaged. So I thought I would try and resurrect here. Here's some 2011 summer shots on Lake Winnpeg, Canada in my buddy's Sundancer 260. Me and my shy 7 year old. The captain! My 5 year old...

    1979 SRV 207 Makeover Thread

I wanted to start a new thread since I now have my boat at home. The purpose of this thread is to document the process over the next few months of returning the boat back to its original glory. If you haven't read my other thread asking for info about the 1979 SRV 207, you can find it at...
