I took the wrap off yesterday. Sat on the boat and cleaned in shorts today. Will be pulled tomorrow for bottom cleaning and painting on Tuesday..... Yep, screw the weather. A tad of snow in some Farmer's Almanac is not going to rain on my parade. I'm going boatin'.
Please.....don't complain about the fuel woes!! Al Gore has threatened to have me arrested at the fuel dock!!
Anyways, I've always heard that the 330s/340s were the "Sports cars" of the Sea Ray lineup....?? Didn't your sales person explain this to you when you purchased your boat? You should...
Guys,
I love the 48. Good luck on the search.
Our washer/dryer turned into a toaster and fried itself. First thing after launch this year we will service it and then never use it again!!

Gary,
Take lots of pics. We're moving the boat to Nassau this coming Winter. Would love to hear about your experience with navigating the local waters.

We looked at the 44 and the 48. At the time, (pre economy collapse) the 48 prices were very high due to the new model. We decided on the 500 because it has a true 2nd stateroom and a pull out couch in the main salon. It is the same boat as the current 52, just a few years older and a lot less...
We're right next to Bridog....$8500 for a T dock.
No amenities.
There are not too many options in our area. SR maintenance is on-site, however. Would that be considered an amenity??
Our "reassessment" was done a couple of years ago. Our taxes dropped significantly. However, since then, they've gone up about 15% per year. They'll be where they were before the "reassessment" in a couple more years.....I predict.
Up the Hudson to Albany and then through the locks to Lake Champlain??? That is one of my dream trips!! I wish a bunch of boats and folks could get together to do the trip. I look forward to following this thread.:smt038

Hey Gary,
I know you've got a chart of your speed vs. fuel consumption laying around somewhere for your boat. Can you share what you've seen as optimal?
Having run our boat for only one season and also just come back from NE while playing along the way, I noticed a couple of things.

I did reach out to Sam this weekend. He promised to get me an e-mail out sometime soon letting me know of some folks who do this.
I'll google the unihelm dinghy thing.
I also found a couple of websites using "inflatable boat steering".
