Yeah, I didn't want to compound one issue into another. The silver lining was that I found a major cut in the existing coax to the old antenna, I was able to cut that out and make sure i had a solid connection.

I figure some of you must be in the CGAUX... I was already to sign up but then I realized that didn't allow me to mount the .50 cal on the bow to fend off terrorists and people without enough lifejackets. :-)
