Somebody gave me a 12000 BTU Portable AC. Couple of feet tall and 66 lbs. 115V. Has wheels, easy to transport. Anybody use these in cabin? Too many BTUs? Wear the battery down quickly? Safe? Just looking for advice....thanks

Yesterday took about two inches of water when parked in the river. I bailed it out and it's fine. It happened once before but I thought I had left the hatch open and rain came in. It appears the water is coming in from somewhere else...but only sometimes? Help!! Thanks

Recently had a 1-1/4" through hull fitting installed to overcome a corroded intake on a 5.7 Mercruiser (99 Sundancer 270). Yesterday running great, temp at 150 (better than ever running at 3500 RPM) so appears through hull was the answer. Too good to be true because buzzing alarm started...

I have a 99 270 Sundancer. After two mechanics and a lot of $$ he took the outdrive off to discover the transom assy was basically deteriorated. I was having major overheat issues and it was clear that the transom assy bushing had basically closed off the artery where water should be flowing...

Bought a 1999 Sundancer 270. Changed out the pulleys, manifolds (they had cracked because of overheating). Still having a heck of a time with the belt. When the belt pops off I lose steering and it overheats (belt runs all the pumps). Anybody had this much trouble with the belt coming off...

My "new to me" 1999 doesn't have a generator or AC. Someone at the marina mentioned these Cruisair units work great with a portable gen. Has anybody tried this? Where do you operate the generator? I've heard many concerns around the dangers of generators on the boat.
