Hello,
I have an 06 340 (8.1L V Drives) after approximately 30 mins on the water, at about 3200 RPM's the alarm sounded with 2 beeps, starboard Check Engine illuminated. Alarm would stop for about two mins, Check Engine would go away and then happen again until I was at Idle. Everything looked...
Hello,
Would anyone have a part # for the wet bar sink drain assembly?
I looked it up in the parts manual but it just lists the sink (1689318) but does not go into any more lower level detail ?
Thanks
Hello,
I have a 2006 340 with MERCRUISER - 8.1L INBOARD (Base) engines. I want to replace the raw water intake strainer baskets. There are a couple different sizes and I could not get a definitive answer from any Sea Ray vendors. I would pull one to measure but both basket handles are broke so I...
Hello, my Galley refrigerator stopped working during my last trip out. I did some troubleshooting today and I wanted to share what I found and maybe get some advise from you experts.
Refrigerator: 340 Sundancer - 1691311 REFRIGERATOR, 3.9CF 12/24V 110/220V 50/60HZ

Yes,
I first changed my oil and replaced the filter with the same size filter that was removed (Sierra 18-7944). This size filter was recommended to me because it was said that a larger/taller filter would interfere with the hatch closure. This worked for a few outings but the oil pressure then...
I am in the process of replacing all my 2006 340 decals, I have most of them but wanted to see if anyone knows where I can get the Port and Starboard decals/stickers that go under the fuel fill caps on the outside of the boat. This is obviously not necessary but since Im in the middle of doing...
Hello, I just had my 2006 340 Sea Ray taken out of the water for my annual bottom paint, wax, general maintenance. I wanted to replace my worn out anchor Davit rollers but I am having some difficulty sourcing just the rollers, or do I have to buy the whole assembly?. The Sea Ray part # for the...
Hello,
I have a 2006 340 Sea Ray, when I raise the anchor, it pulls in too far and digs into my bow. Its pretty tore up so I was wondering if there is some type of stainless guard I could put on, to both cover the abrasions and also to prevent future wear.
Thanks in advance
Thats exactly what it was, the fuel control valve is in run but when I turned it to bypass, it started right up. Guess I need a new valve but still feel pretty lucky it wasnt something worse.
Thank you for all the help, this site is awesome!!
This worked as you described, turned knob to Bypass and motor started right up! Noticed the Stbd. motor was already in bypass and I have had the boat for 5 years, is there any long term affects on running it that way?
Hello, I have a 2006 340 Sea Ray with 8.1L Mercruiser inboards (Ser#0W393229,34). My port motor had been intermittently shutting off after extended Idle periods but I have been able to get it restarted (sometimes with starting fluid) and now it will not start at all. This is a cool fuel system...
Hello again,
I just purchased an oil pressure mechanical gauge/tester, I believe that my motors have an oil pressure sending unit and an oil pressure sensor. Does someone know if I remove and connect the direct pressure gauge to either of these or is there a different connection location? Also...
Thank you for the reply,
No, the motor seems to run perfectly, just the excessive drop in pressure (indicated) and alarm. I will check the pressure on each motor and follow up on this thread.
Thanks again
Harry
Hello,
I have a 2006 340 Sportsman, it has twin 8.1 Mercruiser (inboard) motors. I noticed the port side motor had developed a decrease in oil pressure. Typically, both motors are at ~50 psi @ 3200 RPM's and then drop to about 20-25 PSI at Idle. The port motor started indicating ~20 PSI at 3200...
Thank you for the info, I was actually going to purchase one until it stared working again. I cant figure out how the opposite control panel (anchor/nav lights) buttons have anything to do with the port side controls. I studied the wiring diagrams for a while and there are a few things that are...
Hello all,
I am new to this site but wanted to share an issue that I had this weekend and wondered if anyone has had any similar issues or may be able to help.
I recently had my boat hauled out for annual maintenance,(cleaning, Bottom paint, etc...)
I was able to open the engine hatch to...
