Well like I said earlier in the post I can put it in forward and reverse and the prop locks in opposite directions depending if forward or reverse but when engine is running it doesn’t even try to go into gear just revs up and I can see the coupler and input shaft turning while engine is running...
So after some checking the input shaft is spinning but the prop still isn’t and the gear oil in the out drive was low what are the chances the out drive is burnt up?
If the coupler was bad the prop would just free spin wouldn’t it? Because it has nothing to grab onto. I’m by no means a marine mechanic but I am mechanically inclined with cars trucks and heavy equipment
