    355 AC Cracked keel

I posted this in Classic Sea Ray section but thought it might belong here as it deals with glasswork. After pressure washing and blocking I noticed a crack in the keel. After I ground out the crack I found foam inside. This layer was wet but it could be from the pressure washer. I'm not...

    A new start 355 AC

Some of you know that I have been trying to get Easy Go back in shape for some time. She has been on the hard since I left for Afghanistan. Since I came back it seems like life keeps happening and she kept waiting. Well today was the first day of her comeback. She was delivered to her temporary...

    Gear Ratio

I posted this in the Classic section but I thought I might open it up to others. I am trying to figure out what the "normal" gear ratio is for 350/ 5.7's in my 36 AC or boats like it. I know that many of these boats had 350's and some had 454's :wow:. I currently have 3.8L V-6's with 2.52:1...

    Gear Ratio?

I am considering changing out my 3.8L's for 5.7L's. I know the motors will fit because many of these boats came with 350's and even some 454's. What I don't know is what gears the 350/5.7's came with. I may have to change them out but I don't want it to be a surprise. :smt021 thanks

    Counter rotating engines

What makes an engine rotate backwards or reverse. Are the rotating components different. I thought the starter started the spin in reverse and the firing order maintained the rotation. No?

    Barrier Coat? Now?

In planning my projects when I get back I am considering a barrier coat before a fresh bottom goes on. EZ Go has been ashore for a year now and will hopefully never be this dry again so it would be a good time. This boat is almost 30 years old and has always lived in the water so I am wondering...

    355/ 360AC Repower

Hey guys, I am going to repower EZ Go when I get back and would like some advice. I currently have 2 3.8l V6 Crusaders and Velvet Drive 71C with a 2.59:1 gear reduction. :smt101 These are the original motors and they are ready to retire. I am thinking that I would replace the motors with drop in...

    Swim Platform Support?

A month or so ago we had alot of wind in the PC area that really piled the water up in the bay. My boat floated up and when she came down the swim platform came down on the dock and pulled the supports loose, cracked the edge of the platform etc. :smt013 The supports are attached to the platform...

    Fuel Crossover

One of things I always thought was missing on my boat is a fuel crossover system. My starboard engine and gen share the same tank while the port engine has it's own. After a prolonged use of the gen I can have one tank almost useless while the other is full. I would like to feed the gen out of...

    What color is Ivory?

I think 83 was the last year for Ivory hull color in the SR line. I need to patch some areas on the hull and can't figure out what to tint the gel coat with to get close to Ivory. Anybody tried it? White+______? Yellow+______? I have had good luck matching the color when I have painted...

    DE 461 or Whirlpool

One of my first jobs besides teak, wax, more wax and a bottom job and more wax is to do something about my refridgerator, a Norcold DE 461. I know the compressor is bad. Did you know a bad compressor can burn up a brand new power supply? :smt013 I have priced a new cooling unit for the Norcold...

    Hello everyone, 355AC Classic?

I just found this site and was looking around for info about my 83 355 AC and found myself in the "Classic" area. :wow: I guess I never thought about how old "Easy Go" is. I have had her since 95. She survived Hurricane Opel and several storms since then. I have recently started to really give...
