I have a freeze plug to install its behind the motor mount. I have the equipment to hold the motor from the top so would it be okay to remove the mount to install the plug. the engine would not have to be moved. I have no access to the hole other then this the clearance is just enough to fit...

Mike. I’m trying to install this plug under my motor mount but not enough clearance I have a 4.3 mercruiser year 87. Did you do something different to get under your mount
