Congratulations on the newest addition to the family! I love hearing someone else starting them off young! We started trips with our kids at 3 and 1 on a 300 Sundancer. That had a bench at the helm and we'd put our son in a travel booster seat next to me and away we went. At 9 and 7 it was...
I'm with you 100% Strecker25. We're just back from a 10 day 250 mile trip with a family of 4, carrying a dinghy, and electric scooters for everyone onboard. She's big enough to accommodate all of us, all our supplies yet not so big that I ever have trouble with a marina accommodating us. Even...
I did exactly this last winter. You have to remove the panel on the top of the dash to access the tracks. I dug the colored caulk out first then used a windshield removing tool, basically small braided cable to cut through the caulk it was bedded in. It wasn't all that easy to get free. The...
The edging I used was Custom Building Products also from HD. It is 5/16" or 7.9mm and flooring 6.5mm. I'm not sure how necessary it was for the 1.4mm difference, but I ran an end-mill router on the floor where it sat to drop it down the small amount. I can also confirm that cutting the miters...
I like your color choice Strecker25. Looks like a completely different boat. I only did the edging to the floor. I'm hoping it doesn't get chipped on the hatch edges taking them out. We call the gallery compartment the "cellar" to store extra beer/pop.
Thanks guys. I put down an aluminum L like you would use at the edge of ceramic tile on the floor to frame the hatch openings and leave that narrow aluminum edge. Most is technically floating, but tight to the hatch edging. I glued to the hatches as well as the raised portion outside the aft head.
Thought I'd share the results of my winter project. Maybe even inspire someone else. I used vinyl plank, Lifeproof High Traffic (rated for temperature extremes for the Michigan winters) from Home Depot.
ttmott, Thank you for the thorough explanation. That is exactly what I was looking for. I will do the testing you recommend just to know where I stand. If I'm looking at the correct alternator on the CAT Parts website the prices aren't terrible. My season unfortunately ends soon for quite a...
Last night I was doing my annual oil change on my 3126's and when my shoulder touched the starboard engine alternator I noticed it was warm. I haven't run the boat for 4 days and the port engine alternator is cool to the touch. I assume something is failing in the alternator. Has anyone else...
Thanks for the suggestions guys! I have kicked around the idea of switching to all stainless, I think it would look good, but the fact that there are 19 total on the boat sounds like a big pain for a little chipped paint. I hadn't thought about getting a spectrometer to match it exactly, that...
Hi Guys. New member here even though it doesn't feel that way to me. I have been a SeaRay owner for about 8 years, on my second one, and have always gotten a ton of useful information reading through old and new posts on this forum. I definitly appreciate all the knowledge I have gained and...
