I just replaced my beige sling back with black camper last month and I'm a Fl resident. In Fl there is no getting away from the heat regardless of color. More importantly give considerable thought to screening (I have sun screen all around), consider openings (zippered openings cut into the...
Great Boat at a Good price ( for the buyer ). At 10 years the engine hours are not excessive, low if anything. Check the maintenance log if available and have your surveyor perform due diligence especially on the manifolds/risers and heat exchanger. Even in fresh water at 10 years there may be...
RE Cabin Tv Install..25" might be a little tight, it may prevent you from mounting as close to the back surface as you would like. With a 24" it is set back far enough so the recessed light is not compromised. Any 24" should would work, though they are not a common size. The cabinet mount is a...
Completed the cabin mod, installing a TV above the aft cabin step-down using a small ceiling mount and modifying the space above the fridge to a cabinet with a pull out wire basket (as requested by the Admiral). For a door, I mounted a nautical themed framed picture on a piano hinge...
Haul out time this week....time to inspect the side I never see....hull, shafts, props, rudders and have her bottom painted. Going to add LED under water lights as well.
Has anyone installed a flat screen in the cabin to left of the stairs ( looking aft)..? I think a 24" would fit and could be mounted with a ceiling mount (mounted to what is the underside of the helm).
this would free up the area above the fridge for storage or the Admiral is suggesting a wine...
Has anyone replaced the starter solenoids on their 8.1's. I'm beginning to get that annoying click and no engine turnover. Do think it is terribly difficult...thought I'd ask before I jump into it..Thanks
Congratulations...Great looking boat, nice fiberglass finish, and camper canvas. We will be changing over to a camper canvas (in black) this season; getting quotes now in the same price range you stated.
RE: Camper vs Sling BacK
Thanks for your input jedijd.
Met with the canvas man over the w/e. We are leaning towards the "traditional" camper , aft vertical supports, with eisenglas/bug screens on port and starboard (no smilyes) that will zipper roll down. Aft will have roll down eisenglas.
Aft...
Camper or Sling Back Canvas???
I'd like to get some feed back from those of you that have camper canvas on their 380's. I have the sling back and am strongly considering a change to camper. What would you change if you could?? Do you have insect screens?
"A Little Nauti" it does not appear...
I've got the raymarine ST 7002 auto pilot head and this weekend when I powered up the electronics all turned on OK except the auto pilot.
Is there an in line fuse or a dedicated fuse that I should look for?? if so, where would *** be?
Thought I would ask before I start probing under the...
Shenanigans ....carpet removal is tedious. The carpet is bonded to the floor with a fiberglass or an adhesive that makes it a bear to remove. You will have to scrape the fibers out of the adhesive. There is no underlayment, and I did not put one down.
Regarding the step down, I did not...
I researched this subject before I "re-floored" my 2002 380. Due to the effects of moisture, humidity and the inevitable spills I opted to use a vinyl "textured planking" called traffic master. It has been down for a year now and we are very satisfied. Easily shaped/cut with razor knife. Very...
Neutral Switch Replacement on 380
Previously posted in maintenance forum w/ little response..My 2002 380 w/8.1s has an intermittent problem with the port engine neutral switch. The shifter has to be rocked several times thru FWD/N/REV until I am able to start the...
