okay so I managed to trace that yellow wire and guess where it ended? The sump pump breaker! Why it was connected there I have no idea but after checking voltage my meter detected the breaker to be bad. I confirmed this by connecting the wires to and from the breaker together and sure enough the...
I will check that out! I have hooked both the yellow and red to the red wire and the radio works so I know for a fact that it is the yellow coming from the battery that is bad.
Okay this one is going to be a hard one but all the advice I have received from here has been so great I figured I would ask! So I had my 1994 sundancer 270 out this weekend and was listening to the radio and cruising when all of a sudden it just dies. What I mean by this is the stereo unit...
So I went ahead and replaced all the lights with LEDs and it seems to have fixed the problem! It looks like the previous owner had put 912 incandescent bulbs in the fixtures and they were getting REALLY hot. I think that the load and heat from these were to much. I got 192 led bulbs and had them...
The switch does get warm after awhile. The boat has two separate D.C. light toggles. One is connected to a florescent light above the galley and the other switch controls both that light and all the little swivel lights located throughout the cabin. If I just turn on the florescent galley light...
The circuit breaker at the helm just says "lights". I pulled it and cleaned the contacts but it is still having the issue. Do you think I should just replace the breaker?
Got it! I am going to move the connections on to the galley D.C. switch since I know that light works and doesn’t have the issue. The only time it happens is when I have the Cabin Main switch on.
Okay so this is going to be a hard one! I have looked everywhere and have not seen any posts about this. I have a 1994 sea ray sundancer 270 and when I turn the cabin lights on they stay on for about 15 minutes and then start to turn off and then on on repeat until I flip the switch. If I let...
Update time! First off I want to thank everyone for there suggestions. They definitely helped me make a check list of things to do before launching. The only things that I had to replace was a fuel line, bellows, and a part to the trim pump that was leaking. After doing all the maintenance I...
I was thinking it might be the sensors/senders but if that was the case wouldn't it still send the trim down? I have seen other posts where they were bad but the trim up was the only thing not working since I do not believe the trim down runs through the trim limit switch.
Okay I am back and this time I have an issue. I recently got a new to me 1994 Sundancer 270. I have been going through everything in preparation to get it out on the water and I am having an issue with the trim/tilt not going up or down when I press the switch. The trim motor does not make any...
