I believe 04 was the year they installed that piece of crap on the Mercruiser/SeaRay. I don't know why anyone would want to leave a safe harbour with it installed. It can leave you high and dry with no notice even though there is nothing amuck in the engine. I have the CANbus technology on my...
Does anyone know the mysteries of the Smart Craft system that is installed on a 220 Sun deck. HELP!!!!!! This thing seems to be the system watchdog for hell.:smt021
Mine came with the small fenders and thy are about to get tossed. I'll be going to three large fenders for bow, stern and midship. Fiberglass and graphics are expensive to repair.
Dock at the Westin and go over to the River Street side to the Chart house on the free ferry. The Westin dockage are floating and well trimmed out to protect the fisihs on your boat. Go on Priceline.com and see if you can land one of their three buck per night rooms at a bargain basement...
Check with GDOT and see if they have house moving routes between the two lakes that have the height limitations along those routes. Just brainstorming here. I think that 14 feet is the magic number not to exceed.
My recommendation on the SD 220 is to seal the chrome cover on the bow and reinstall the chrome cover. Find a location that will be prtected by the Sunbrella cover and install a new horn in that position rerouting the existing horn wiring to the new location.
Sea Ray doesn't exactly mount the horns in the ideal spot on the SD 220. In direct sun all the time. Gore Tex doesn't have a chance of making it over 2 seasons. It would last longer if it were protected by the Sunbrella when the boat was covered.
That horn makes a very nice funnel jbone36
Don't know what your horn looks like. Got picture? If it's like the SD 220 horn the gore tex protector fails from sun rot and then the water riuns the horn itself.
The only way to really get an accurate speed is on a measured course, GPS, or with a radar gun. Boat speedometers are like working on a wristwatch with a crescent wrench.
Depends on what the former prop was.
This is a pretty easy to read prop vs rpm tutorial. http://www.evinrude-parts.com/boat_propeller_selection_article.html
This is a fill in the desired results to fit the prop to what your desired outcome is. http://www.rbbi.com/folders/prop/propcalc.htm
It's the boaters running full throttle with no running lights that got my attention along with those who have no concept of the rules of the waterway. It's time to license all boat operators for the sake of safety. And plese dont tell me an automobile drivers liscense is adequate training to...
This depends a lot on the pitch on the prop. Is it a 19 pitch or is the number lower. What the boat was set up to do makes a big difference on top end speed. If you're getting the revs, it's probally the prop pitch. A full load of fuel and three people with all the stuff they bring aboard will...
For me personally, he can take his tip out of the over-priced marina fuel charges. When you consider that marina fuel doesn't contain the highway road use taxes, the profit margin is plenty.
Hi, I'm new to the site and have recently acquired a '04 Sundeck 220 with the Bravo 3 260 hp. I was curising today a 4800 rpm and got several "Engine Date Faults" which caused the engine to studder for a brief moment. Has anyone experienced this before? Boat has both fresh and salt water...
