Were you able to get an exact match or did you redo the whole cockpit? I only need to do part but am having trouble with a close match. Lookin' at 5k to do the whole cockpit, does that seem out of line?

Find a sign shop that has some Scotchcal 225 and avoid any sharp points in the letters. Clean the dinghy with alcohol and apply. They will stick fine; but if you are constantly ramming the dock with them, they will not hold up.

I assume you check the gap around the shaft with a shimguage front and back in 4-5 places around the shaft? The shafts have a tiny bit of movement if you really reef on them. Your thoughts?

How often should cutlass bearings be replaced? When do you know they need to be replaced? My 2000 380 DA has 1000 hours on it and am curious. I would rather tackle this while the boat is laid up for the winter vs. having a situation during the boating season.
