canvas sea gulls

We have lots of trouble with seagulls here in the Pacific Northwest leaving their poop on the boat cover. Has anyone found a solution to repel the sea gulls and herrons? Is the standard canvas for the 2023 sea ray spx strong enough to use primarily as the cover? Does it remove from the metal...
