1979 240 SRV Restore

Hi all- I bought a '79 240 SRV in '94. In '97 I put in a new 350 Merc after replacing u-joints, lower unit, starter, bellows, etc. I put in new upholstery in the cuddy and put in a new toilet. Aside from taking fairly good care of teakwork, swimdeck, and waxing, the seat pedestals have taken a beating and I need to replace the carpet. Can anyone with experience offer and hints or suggestions when doing this? I would like to put the seats on a pedestal maybe also. Where could I buy cheap boat carpet for this and what type of glue would be used? Thanks for all the help and I will add pics as soon as I can.

my wife and I did the whole interior on our old '73 240. We got the carpet which was outdoor carpet, from a home/farm supply place. We used outdoor glue and it turned out great. The only thing I would do again is heavier posts for the seats. As high as they are, make sure they are sturdy.
