I get two beeps every 2-3 minutes. It starts before the engine is warm. I can put my hand on the block so I don't think it;s heat. Could it be a sending unit? I have had the impellar changed and all fluids are full. Sea Ray 220 Sundeck Mercury 5.0

And is this in your car or your boat? :smt001

Seriously, how about giving us a bit more info - boat, engine, drive set-up, model year.

When it gets to 3.5 beeps, sell.

OK. Then the engine alarm will only go off (on?) for 3 reasons:

1) High engine temp
2) Low oil PSI
3) Low drive lube

Check those things. Try doing a search on here - you'll find a lot of info about these topics already discussed.

IAC valve.

The only suggestion I could add, is remove the gear lube reservoir from it's housing and shake it, (leave the cap on please) to see if the sender is stuck. If you can not remove the reservoir, well, I guess you could remove the whole engine and shake it. :)

Scott,

You need to get out of the house.
