2000 34 dancer starboard engine rpm

HI, I started the genny at the dock for the first time today. as i got out of the canal and tried to plane the starboard engine RPMs would not go above 2000....I killed the genny and surged up but went right down again....the genny takes its fuel from starboard....I have nothing on the prop.....oil press good, temp good....all fluids good...any suggestions?

sounds like a cloged fuel filter, you should have the screw on type that looks like an oil filter...

I think LArry is right. Change your filters. The genny has a a separate fuel intake in the SB tank so I doubt it has any effect on the SB main fule supply.
