I think we have two different 390s. Mine is the new designation 390 which is 39'. I assume your 390 is the larger model.
Anyway my hardtop has a hatch above the helm area and like most, the hardtop also contains all the "bolted on" electronic equipment. The water I had leaking in only affected the Helm area and never got into anything below. (This boat doesn't have an actual aft cabin only a convertible sofa.)
When the Tech took off every component on the Hardtop and caulked every item when he re attached them, the leaking stopped. I would think that your boat might have a similar problem.
