I am wondering if there are any models from years past that are similar to this boat. I heard in years past that they change the number designator (that I thought was supposed to tell the LOA) without altering the hull from older models. Since this looks like a new model I was hoping there was a comparable model with a different name in previous years. Really I'm looking for the biggest trailerable Sea Ray with a nice size cabin and good floor space on deck. Having the vacuflush head would be nice too. The listed weight seems low compared to the next size up which is a 26 but 1400 pounds heavier. Are the trailers for these boats around 1500 pounds? I'm looking at a Yukon XL denali with 7800 pounds towing, but I might have to reconsider if the diesel engine option adds much weight.

IMHO - You are going to be past the 7800 limit with any of the Sundancers by the time you have it loaded. Unless you want to start looking into wide load permits the 8'6" beam is going to get you so that limits you to the 260 or below.

Thanks for the info, maybe I'll look for a bigger truck. It looks like most of the posts I've read here are from people that have slips to keep a bigger boat in, but I like to stay self sufficient, or I guess you could call me cheap. I'd like to keep the yearly cost down by being able to launch and store myself. Also I'd like to be able to go boating in florida which is a long way from WI. A smaller boat would be fun too but it would be great to be able to travel to the Bahamas from Florida.
