I'm a newbie

galley fridg works on 110V shore power but not on 12 V. Haven't found a breaker for it

suggestions?

I am not sure where the 12v breaker may be on your boat, find it and see if it is the problem. I had a similar problem with my fridge, it turned out to be the ac/dc transformer...$65 or so fixed it.

Do you have a sub panel for your breakers? On the 290 it's under the port seat in the cockpit, where the battery switches are located. Good luck.

there is an in-line fuse on 12v line behind refrigerator. you need to remove unit to replace it.

There should be a circuit breaker or fuse in the DC power supply either at the electrical panel or inline between the battery and the fridge, it could be that or the inverter module.

Check the sub panel, that has been the case for many of my 12v issues when I had my 280da. My bilge would often trip it on the sub panel in the engine compartment. As far as the fridge, I thought it was on a sub panel also, check there. If not time to pull fridge and dig deeper, ie (fuse and/or inverter as previously suggested). Good luck.

Was an inline fuse. Pulled the fridg; 4 screws and was a 10A plugged into the top of the unit. Too bad SeaRay's manual doesn't show this.

Thanks all for the help

If you don’t mine me asking, I have a follow up question.

I have never cleaned the coils on our boat refrigerator. I can see no access panel but now that you posted about removing screws I’m thinking that is how to access the coils.

I clean the home refrigerator coils at least 2x / year.

How dirty was it?

I’m wondering if I should remover the refrigerator and clean the cooling coils.
