400 SB Stereo Speaker Controls

Help...Where is the speaker control master for the various speakers ( cockpit, salon, ) . I'm entertaining the marina with music they probably don't want to hear but I can't find a control to turn off cockpit speakers. My wife thinks that this cofirms that I'm not the brightest light in the harbor. (I've been telling her that I want the cockpit speakers on !)

depends on model there may not be separate switches for cockpit speakers.
you have to use fade control on your stereo.

The cockpit speakers are on the same line as the foward stateroom, and the salon is on the other side of the fader. The forward stateroom also has a volume/off knob beside the port side speaker. This allows you to have music in the cokpit w/o music in the forward stateroom. If you want it in the salon only, adjust the fader all the way to one side (rear in my boat).
