My 1997 400 Sedan Bridge has (2) rocker switches on the DC side of my electical panel marked Water pump (#1) and Water pump (#2). Does each switch/pump control different functions (ie: VacuFlush, showers, vanities, etc.) OR is one pump a back-up to the other (a nice idea)?

Probably a very simple answer - I thank you in advance. (reaize it took me quite a bit of time to figure out where the vacuum motor was!)

As far as I know when the first pump can't keep up with the demand the 2nd one kicks in....

there are two pumps installed on your boat (they are connected parallel) in order to keep up with demand (two showers, many faucets, heads). you could use only one pump but you may have low water pressure when using more than one faucet at same time
