Mine has hydraulic steering. You have mechanical?
The best way is to remove the cable and tape it.

AKBASSKING you have two helms dont you ?thats why you have hydrolic steering .Mine apparently is detmar or, out dated not made anymore.so i just spoke with teleflex tech support and jim told me what i need except of course the length.so i will have to take a tape to the boat and measure as best i can because the original isnt stamped with the length as most are .Thanks for the answer though.just added another two weeks to my little project of adding autopilot is all.
