91 Bravo II "shot"

Hi everyone,

While cruising home a couple weeks ago my outdrive locked up about half way home. The mechanic says it's shot.

I am wondering if I should get the one I have rebuilt or get a referbushed one?
Are there any recomendations on how much I should be paying for these options?

Update. I submitted it to the insurance and they covered the cost to rebuild the outdrive. I didn't dig in to why they covered it, but I didn't try to provide a cause of the damage either. I really don't know and the cause may have been that I hit something submerged that didn't cause any damage to the drive casing.
