A saloote to Gary

Doesn't matter what they do with the antenna's since the built-in radios don't work anyway. Every time they try to contact the truckers on CB for a traffic report, they never get a response. Obviously Sea Ray's CBs aren't worth a damn and neither are the antennas.

No wonder the truckers would not talk back to me when I was under I75 this weekend:lol::smt043:lol: Breaker, Breaker good buddy.

You saltwater guys are all jealous.....we lake boaters have to angle our antennas so we can back under nice covered slips out of the sun and rain.
You know they adjust right?

As I said already you lake guys are nuts. Why do you need such a long antenna anyways can't you see the shore from where ever you go?

How deep are most lakes down that way? Can they wade to shore in an emergency?

Breaker breaker 19. We get in trouble around here for using VHF on the lakes(except for Lake Washinton).

They adjust for attitude. The Georgia Homie Look (gettin your swag on)

Allatoona's deepest point is a bit over 100'. We typically drop anchor in 20 to 30 feet of water.

I got a chuckle out of this. I do remember when dad had his mid-80's boats and that was the thing due to the swept back arches. Let's not forget the windsocks also!

Hey, don't make fun of these guys... They think they are curb feelers, but are to embarassed to ask why they are mounted so high!!!

Seriously...the antennas are swept back to clear the roof at the marina. Yes, they do adjust quite easily, but after a long day on the lake, in the sun, in 90 deg. water, working hard to stay hydrated, and looking at those beautiful Southern girls, it's easy to forget to adjust it back down to clear the roof when backing into the slip. they break easily, and are expensive. The height of the angled antenna easily transmits to anywhere we need.

Lake boaters, I've heard they wonder why they only get one half of the rabbit ears. Must explain why they raft up so much, trying to complete the signal.
