A WW2 Veteran's Letter to the President

I wish that was posted on a site where I could sign my name to it along with thousands of other Americans.

Great letter! Does make you wonder what the real agenda is with this administration - they certainly don't care about the opinion of millions of Americans who share Mr. Estes' views.

I have to agree with most of the letter but there are some problems with it he says he was a Master Chief. If he enlisted in the Navy in 1934 and did 23 years then he retired in 1957 that is believeable but there was no Master Chiefs until 1958 which is when that pay grade was authorized. Also it say he lives in a rest home in Pearl Harbor and send its to three senators in Fla. Why not the Senators in Pearl Harbor? He also signs it as being in McAlpin, Fl.

Living in one place and being a legal resident of another is common in the military - especially in Texas, Alaska and Florida. You have to go back and forth, though.

I am not free to comment on the article. The retired guy in me, appearing next year, would love every syllable.
