I am trying to secure my new-to-me 310 to my lift platform. I have the chocks installed per instructions, but am unsure what the ideal setting for them is. Should I be trying to only have the chocks touch the strakes on the dinghy, or is matching the hull shape sufficient? Any advice greatly appreciated - want to complete this before my wife shows up! Thanks!

Problem solved.
New related issue that hopefully someone will have the answer to. The distance between the bow eye and the platform tiedown it too close for the ratchet strap kits I used on the stern. I am using webbing and some cobbled together components but I'm looking for something more professional, and with which I can really make sure the dinghy is down tight. I couldn't find anything that looked like it would work at Fawcett's. Has anyone solved this problem? Thanks in advance.

How about a small turnbuckle with S hooks or pelican hooks at each end?

That's how I secure my bow also, with a Pelican and a small swedged pcs. of s.steel cable wrapped in white vynil, I had my local ships chandley make this up for me. I think It cost 60 bucks or so, but I just clip it on to my tender's bow ring and then push it all the way forward until there is no play in it, then I use s.steel racheting tie-downs criss-crossed at the transom. I did have to place a centered pad-eye for the bow setup, looks good and will carry the load properly.
