After market bow thruster

Has any one had experience with either florida bow thrusters or sea thrust (a division of sea lift) installing a bow thruster on their boat? i am sure that both will be at the annapolis boat show in october but was just wondering if you had any comments. i am considering putting one in my 340

Not 1st hand but I have a couple of friends with big aft cabin boats who had FBT come to Lake Travis & install. Both are very satisfied with installation & performance. One negotiated very hard, finally got his best deal when FBT came to town to do a couple of other boats at the lake.
FYI...we ordered BON DIA with a bow thruster due to our inexperience in type, usual crosswinds & very narrow docking situation. We are very happy with its preformance.
 
thanks BON DIA. I am in the same situation, we went from no boat to a single screw 280 and 60 days later we bought the new 08 340. My son is only 10 but learning fast how to help and my wife is not helpful at all when docking so a little help with the thruster will make for less couples counseling!!!!

I had FBT put one in my '08 340 shortly after buying it last year.

No problems; easy to work with.

Gives me a lot more confidence for all situations.
 
FBT did an excellent job installing a stern thruster on a friends' Carver MY. They get the nod from him. First class service.
 
My 320 came with a bow thruster from the factory. I do believe it was Florida Bow Thruster that did mine for Sea Ray. It's really handy in tight situations. Most people don't expect it when I suddenly use it while docking or casting off.

I might be interested in a after market bow thruster, maybe we can get a deal to get them done at the same time?
 
I am going to the Annapolis Boat Show. I'm also going contact Clarks Landing to see how much they want for a bow thruster. If you had a bow thruster installed during the purchase of a new boat from Sea Ray its $6200. Brett my number is 301.233.3721. Are you taking your boat to the show or are you driving by car?

Same here -2 months in a 240da to a 320 - I had FBT install a thruster, very satisifed. They do a nice clean job.
