Autohelm ST7000 "No Main power" message

Having a weird problem with my Autohelm ST7000. I have power as my display works properly and reads degrees and rudder alignment, so I know there is "Power" to the unit. The problem I am getting is when activated underway, it says auto for about a second and then displays a "No main power" message and several beeps. Sometimes while sitting at the dock and not moving, I can get the auto to come on and stay on and sometimes not....any suggestions?

Have the same configuration:

The 7000 probably powers off the Sea Talk buss. In mine the buss is a simple junction box. Check the wire run from the control head to the junction box, look for loose connections and corrosion.

The go to the course computer and check the NENA connections, make esure they are tight. Odds on you have a loose connection or broken wire.

When i was recently adding new equip, I went into the small white junction to find power leads to some equip being fed by just a few strands!

You may need a magnifying glass to and strong light to get a good look at the more obsecurely placed stuff.
