B&W Tow and Stow hitch

If you are constantly changing hitches and heights multiple times on a daily basis, this might be worth while. My concern is that around here stuff like this grows legs and walks away! By the time you pull the pin to fold it under out of the way and then put it back in, it's easier to pull the whole thing out anyway. If you are going to pull it out, why not just get one for each size and store them in the tow vehicle? I don't know what they cost, but I'm guessing at least twice that of a single hitch and ball. You'd also have to buy four locks to keep all the pins in and that will drive up the cost too. I'm sure they are a fine product, but after time will the pins wear and generate some slop? I know that's been a concern on adjustable hitches, but I don't have any practical experience there.

I have a bar stock aluminum with a 2 5/8 ball that is good to 12,000 lbs. It probably weighs about 5 lbs? It's extremely light and easy to put in and take out. I have to changes hitches when we put the travel trailer on and that stupid hitch weighs about 50 lbs! I also have a hitch for our neighbors boat which is a 2" ball and it has a traditional square tube and it's WAY heavier then my aluminum. I can use ONE locking pin for all of them. Those only slow thiefs down, but it's a small deterrent.

I guess it's a matter of weighing convenience with risk of theft and risk of having the wrong size and returning to pick it up if you forget it!

I have two banged up shins that would have loved that product but I already have a 1/2 dozen ball and insert combonations to invest in one more.

I have this receiver and it performs great. It is especially nice if you have a few different types of trailers to pull. I have a Sea Ray Sundancer 220 (24' Boat) at around 7000lbs + with the trailer and have no issues what-so-ever. I pulled my boat from MI to IN to CO and never had a problem. I would highly recommend this receiver. Theft really is not an issue because the assembly cannot be easily taken apart. I always run a single lock on the hitch with no problems. The only issue I have with it is that it weighs a ton.
