Battery replacement

Well fwiw interstate does offer dual purpose as well those labeled deep cycle or charging. Their size 24 was around 450CCA so I passed on those. All things considered they may have been adequate for my purposes.

Interesting. Looks new. And flooded.

I haven't quite figured out their cycle life chart on that; only goes toward 140 cycles against run time in minutes. Maybe with focus on how long you could run a trolling motor.

Other deep cycle batteries often instead graph out cycles to depth of discharge; our Lifeline chart goes to about 1000 cycles at 50% DoD.

If an Interstate 12VDC battery is labeled "deep cycle" it's more likely to be a dual-purpose battery, decent enough for engine starting and general house loads over appropriate time periods.

I used twin interstate deep cycles for my sailboat for many years and would get 5 years out of them almost to the month. All they had to crank was a 10 hp merc o/b. Water pump, stereo and nav lights.
